The article poses a question why phenomenology as an independent way of thinking and experiencing reality allows to better explain what it means for a human being to be moral – to lead a life in space where it is important to make a distinction between what is right and what is wrong, faithful or unfaithful, better or worse, good or bad, decent or wicked. Individual examples of the application of the phenomenological method in the sphere of consciousness of practical human life were considered. In particular, the “anatomy” of moral experience and spontaneous cognitive acts, in which good arises in self-administration, were analysed. The role of moral experience in essential ethical categories such as freedom and self-destination was also pointed out. Finally, the reform of the agenda of the ethical reflection of modernism under the influence of phenomenology was explained. Phenomenology shows that the human person is a moral being. And morality is for humans a natural form of their life.
